DoNotes Nexus Edition BETA Testing Program - Terms and Conditions
Welcome to the DoNotes Nexus Edition BETA Testing Program ("the Program"). By participating in this Program, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
Eligibility and Participation: Participation in the BETA testing program is open to individuals who have received an invitation to join from DoNotes All participants must be at least 18 years old and must agree to these terms and conditions.
Experimental Nature: The DoNotes Nexus Edition BETA is an experimental version of the software and is provided "as is." It is not a stable release, and there may be bugs, errors, and other issues. By using the Nexus Edition BETA, you acknowledge and accept the risks associated with using experimental software.
Data Loss Disclaimer: As the BETA version is experimental, DoNotes is not responsible for any data loss, including but not limited to notes, files, or any other information stored in the DoNotes Nexus Edition BETA. We strongly advise you to back up your data regularly during the testing period.
Data Deletion at the End of the Program: At the conclusion of the BETA testing program, all data within the Nexus Edition BETA will be permanently deleted. However, you will be provided with the opportunity to download all notes before this deletion takes place.
Email Collection and Storage: During the BETA testing program, DoNotes will collect email addresses from participants for communication and feedback purposes. All email addresses will be stored securely with encryption to protect your privacy.
Data Encryption: Please be aware that as of the BETA version, all notes are encrypted. However, note names are note yet encrypted. All usernames, emails and passwords are also encrypted. Files uploaded to DnDrive are themselves not encrypted, however they are secured behind a password-protected directory of which only administrators and server-side code can access, and their specific URLs and names are encrypted
Account Deletion: At present, there is no option for users to delete their Nexus account directly. If you wish to have your Nexus account deleted, please send a request to [email protected], and our support team will assist you with the process.
Account Separation: The Nexus account used for the BETA testing program is separate from the regular DoNotes account. The data and actions in the Nexus Edition BETA will not affect your regular DoNotes account.
Accuracy and Changes: The information provided as of 9th August 2023 is accurate, but please be aware that details are subject to change as the BETA testing program progresses. Users will be informed of any significant changes or updates.
Note Size and DnDrive: As of the BETA version, all users are placed on the "Brokie" plan, affecting DnDrive storage. However, these restrictions have yet to be placed on the actual note-taking
No Nexus Backups: During the BETA testing program, no backups of Nexus data will be made. It is essential to keep your own backups of important information.
By participating in the DoNotes Nexus Edition BETA Testing Program, you agree to the above terms and conditions. DoNotes reserves the right to terminate your participation in the BETA testing program at any time if you fail to comply with these terms or for any other reason.
